I am extremely thankful for the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation! For those of you who do not know me, my husband Joey was diagnosed with late stage Lung Cancer in December 2005 at the age of 42. Our family is in the midst of a miracle as Joey is currently enjoying eight straight months of stability.

During this difficult time, we have found a great deal of comfort and support from the Foundation. I am reaching out to you, as a supporter of this wonderful organization, with an opportunity to participate in a special event to support the Foundation.

In 2006, our family organized a golf tournament and dinner in Joey’s honor and raised close to $25,000 for lung cancer awareness. We are gearing up for this year’s “Golf Fore Awareness” tournament and dinner on Monday, October 8, 2007 at StoneTree Golf Club in Novato, CA and hope you will be able to join us!

Our goal with the tournament is to provide additional funding to offer support to those affected with this disease. This year, our proceeds will benefit the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation. I am proud to serve as a member of the Executive Board and delighted that Bonnie will be our guest speaker during dinner following the tournament.
